So Ariele and I left Brooklyn yesterday morning. It was cold and rainy and pretty sad. Took us about two hours to get out of the city since we had to take the Lincoln Tunnel (trucks can't get on the Holland tunnel) and then all of a sudden there it was, pretty Jersey! Just kidding. Jersey was smelly and snowy.
We stopped quickly in Summit, NJ, and had a parking lot breakfast. Then on to Pennsylvania.
And then in West Virginia, the most amazing thing! An ice cream parlor! And a nice warm breeze on our skin.
Winter is for the birds.
We're happy with little.
Coming up: we visited an abandoned farm, an abandoned barn and an abandoned diner in Virginia. Photos later today. We gotta get back on the road and put the metal to the pedal! We're about three hours behind schedule (all those abandoned beauties to photograph) and have a long ways to go till Selma, Alabama.
